iPhone 12 2020: when does it come out? Prices, release, news and previews

When it comes out and how it will be iPhone 12 2020: it is just a little before the release, but the first details reveal four new models: here are previews and news on design and the possible price.

The expectation for the new models (arriving next autumn 2020) is skyrocketing alongside the central question: how will the new iPhone 12 be and when will it be released?

From the square design to the cameras, up to 5G: the first details on the characteristics and prices of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro are different and at the centre of increasingly confirmed rumours.

What will we see in iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro? Probably some of the advances that emerged on the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro that were later found absent in the models announced last year. Apple could reserve the best for these last months of 2020 when the new line up dedicated to the iPhone 12 (or iPhone 11s? Usually Cupertino adopts the unique numbering every two years in favour of the upgrade model S).

Here’s what iPhone 12 will look like, based on the various rumours that have emerged previously and revealed by industry analysts.

iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro: design, features and news

iPhone X generation, the notch, could be destined to disappear from the iPhone 12 or at least be reduced. To say this in the previous months was the well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who reports some indiscretions that identified in the iPhone 11 the latest bastions of design to which Apple has now accustomed us for years.

Apple would be determined to adopt drastically different solutions: the technology necessary for Face ID would be reduced and resized, but without assuming a hole punch on the model of the competition. Other rumours reveal that Apple is working hard for a notch that maintains the same sensors but with decidedly thinner shapes, decreasing the space occupied on the frame by the much-criticized cleat.

The juiciest news, however, reveals Bloomberg, which confirms the rumours gathered by John Prosser, owner of the Youtube channel FrontPageTech. According to the latest words, iPhone 12 could arrive with four different models:

5.4-inch iPhone 12, basic model with aluminium body and dual rear camera

iPhone 12 Max from 6.1 inches, an entry-level model in line with the previous one but enhanced in size that maintains the aluminium body and two rear cameras;

6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro, higher-end model with a stainless steel body and three rear cameras to which the LiDar scanner

6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max that maintains the characteristics of the previous ones and further increases the size.

In line with these predictions, also Jon Prosser, the famous leaker who has released a video online showing some of the main features, confirming himself in line with the rumours that have emerged to date and including 5G for all four new models.

A quadruple and unprecedented offer that of Apple, which could bring to the market four different models suitable for all budgets (to which we should add the mysterious launch of iPhone 9 / iPhone SE 2, economic model.

Speaking of displays, the latest news indicates a transition from 60HZ to 120HZ, allowing you to enjoy much more fluid animations and speed of interactions.

The entry-level model, such as iPhone XR and iPhone 11, would keep its dimensions intact, which would, however, see the transition from LCD to OLED (aligning the standard to the entire range). Retained the dual rear camera while still uncertain the transition to a completely revised design.

Some rumours then report an unprecedented detail: Apple may choose to remove the Ear Pods and the charger from the box. The former could represent a removal dictated by the need to push wireless technology and Air Pods (which will not, however, be contained within the package). Removing the power supply would instead arise from the apple’s desire to pollute less with a product that, according to the intentions that emerged as indiscretions, would already have users.

iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro: LIDAR cameras and scanner

The addition of the scanner sensor equipped with LiDAR technology could be another meeting point that would bring the new generation of the iPhone closer to the new iPad. The module dedicated to cameras should remain unchanged compared to the previous generation, they retain the dual rear sensor on the entry-level model and the triple camera for the Pro version to which the LiDAR scanner will be added.

The addition of this sensor should revisit the much-discussed square of the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro cameras, creating a more harmonious design thanks

iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro: will it have 5G?

Also, according to Kuo, there would be no doubts: Apple has reserved revolutionary news for the iPhones that will be presented in 2020.

Kuo firmly insists that the new iPhone 12 will be of a completely different shape than what we saw before: a unique model that will cut ties with the past. iPhone, and we cannot exclude that the device in question could appear in the Apple Store list next year.

Then there is the connectivity issue: iPhone 12/2020 will point to 5G. Apple, at the moment, preferred to set aside support for the new network for iPhone 11, justifying the choice based on the still slow and not widespread development of the fifth generation of mobile networks.

The Android competition has already begun to move in this direction (with Samsung, Huawei and Xiaomi): Apple can not lag. According to Prosser, all four models will have 5G compatibility. The latest news, on the other hand, almost certainly gives the transition to 6 GB of RAM for the Pro versions.

iPhone 12: release and price list

In short, the real news seems to be reserved for the iPhone 12 compared to the new iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max.

When it comes out? Officially September is an iPhone month, but the recent coronavirus emergency may have changed Cupertino’s plans. Many rumours are chasing each other on this, between those who identify a possible shift in November of the new iPhones and those who foresee an internal production on American soil.

Apple presents the new models in a specific window every year and, consequently, iPhone 12 should be announced in September 2020, unless otherwise communicated. The release date and pre-orders could instead be delayed due to the coronavirus emergency: the two iPhone 12 models should be available in October (pre-orders on 12 and release on 19) while the top-of-the-range iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max would even slip into November.
